Modern Bakery's range of protein bread packed with 28% protein and a minimum of 8% carbohydrates.
This bread is a dieters dream and is often referred to as Diet Bread. This bread supports the work and research of Dr Pape, author of Slim in your Sleep.
Modern bakery are the first bakery in the region to produce this specially formulated bread. It contains a protein content of 28%, up to 5 times more protein than your conventional bread loaf and an even higher protein content than steak. At the same time the carbohydrate content is only 8%, up to 6 times lower than your regular bread. This obviously makes the protein bread well suited to most dieters following a high protein, low carb diet.
Protein bread could also be beneficial for people with diabetes. One of the primary goals of anyone suffering from diabetes is to gain control and to regulate the amount of sugar in the blood stream. One way of doing this is to limit the intake of carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are the bodys main source of energy and when broken down in the body they increase the level of glucose in the blood, which is then broken down by insulin. For people suffering with diabetes this becomes problematic as the body may not produce enough insulin to break down the glucose.
Regulation of blood sugar levels can be achieved through consuming a bread such as protein bread which is low in carbohydrates and high in protein. Eating protein bread means you are less likely to experience the sugar highs and lows that you would normally get with regular bread. Replacing regular bread with high protein bread may help you save carbs and make it easy for you to stay within your carbohydrate intake at meal times.
Should you suffer from any medical reason for limiting your carbohydrate intake then your doctor or dietician can help you calculate your daily intake.
